We acknowledge that the NBAPC office is situated on the unceeded and unsurrendered ancestral homelands of the Wolastoqiyik. The “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” of 1725 and 1726, signed by the Wabanaki and the British Crown, did not deal with the surrender of lands or resources, but recognized Wolastoqiyik, Mi’kmaq and Passamaquoddy title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.

Nous reconnaissons que le bureau du NBAPC est situé sur les terres ancestrales non cédées des Wolastoqiyik.
