COVID-19 Support applications are currently under review. Due to high influx of COVID-19 Support applications, the Council will not be responding to individual requests. Successful applicants will be contacted in the following weeks.

Student Laptop Program

Moving into Alert Level 3 in the COVID-19 Winter plan and schools transitioning to at-home learning, the need for laptops has been identified to equip students with the necessary tools to succeed. As part of this round of COVID-19 funding we are offering a Student Laptop Program for eligible individuals.

Mental Health Support

The New Brunswick Aboriginal Peoples Council (Council) is pleased to offer mental health support for individuals and their families who wish to receive counselling services.

NBAPC has partnered with The Counselling Collective to offer up to 10 virtual or
in-person sessions
with a registered counsellor.

Please note that this mental health support initiative is part of the limited COVID-19 funding received by the Council and is only available until March 31st, 2022.

Eligibility criteria:

  • NBAPC members,
  • And off reserve, non-status Indigenous Person living within the Province of New Brunswick.

Sessions must be booked directly with The Counseling Collective by the individual wishing to receive services or their guardian, if under the age of 16. Please contact Lynsey Wilson-Norrad directly at or call (506) 450-5125 to book your appointment. Please indicate that you are accessing this service through NBAPC.

NBAPC CANNOT book appointments on behalf of the individual due to confidentiality.

Kindly note that you should book your appointments prior to March 31st, 2022, as funding for this initiative will no longer be available after the cutoff date.
