The New Brunswick Aboriginal Peoples Council is inviting all Mi’kmaq, Maliseet/Wolastoqiyik and Passamaquoddy people in or from New Brunswick to fill out an on-line survey concerning Aboriginal and Treaty rights beneficiary matters.

The surveys – one of non-status persons and one designed for off-reserve Status Indians – is being supported by the Government of Canada to assist NBAPC and governments address the beneficiary needs of non-reserve Mi’kmaq, Maliseet/ Wolastoqiyik and Passamaquoddy not now involved in land claims and Treaty implementation talks being conducted through the reserve-based Chiefs and Councils through the Assembly of New Brunswick Chiefs.

The results of this survey and other surveys being conducted by NBAPC will be reported through the Mal-I-Mic Newsletter and posted on NBAPC’s web-site: www.nbapc.org in the Spring of 2013.

For further information, please visit the NBAPC web-site at www.nbapc.org and follow the Beneficiary Survey links.
